The faculty and administration of Laurel Business Institute named Holly Butler, a fifth semester medical secretary transcriptionist major, as November student of the month. She has been named to the dean’s list each semester and is the secretary and member of the Laurel Business Institute chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals.
She completed her first internship at Chestnut Ridge Counseling Services in the medical records department, and is finishing her second internship with Davis Eye Group. Upon graduation she plans to be employed full time in the medical transcription field.
Holly and her husband, Carl, have three children: Lyndsey, 10, Jacob, 6, and Gracie, 2.
