CALIFORNIA – The California Area School Board Wednesday named Terri Doman its new president. Doman was the only nominee for the position and was unanimously elected by the six board members attending the reorganization meeting. Missing from the meeting were past president Donna Tyrpin and board members Etta Kokoska and Barry Niccolai.

School Director Thomas Russell was named the first vice president and Cindy Dunlevy was elected second vice president.

Andrews/Price was retained as the district’s solicitor and director John Bayer was appointed to the positions of legislative representative and Pennsylvania School Boards Association representative.

The board will continue to meet the third Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the high school.

Committee-of-the-Whole meetings will be held the Monday in the week prior to the board meeting at 6 p.m. at Phillipsburg School, where the administrative offices are located.
