Frank J. Moore DMD
Frank J. Moore DMD, 83, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Tuesday morning, Nov. 30, 2004, in the Mount Macrina Manor Nursing Home. He was born May 12, 1921, in Connellsville Township, the son of the late Carl and Mary Moore.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers.
Frank was a member of St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, a United States veteran, serving in the Army during World War II, was a member of the American Legion, VFW and DAV.
Dr. Moore was a 1938 graduate of Dunbar Township High School, a 1950 graduate of St. Vincent College, a 1956 graduate of Pittsburgh Dental School, graduated from Pittsburgh Graduate School with a Masters degree in Public Health, a 1962 graduate of Pittsburgh School of Oral Surgery and Maxilla Facial, a member of the National Fraternity Delta Sigma Delta International Dental Fraternity, and was an Eagle Scout in Dunbar Troop No. 1, in 1938.
He is survived by his fianc?, Lois A. Murphy of Uniontown; sisters, Betty Ruth Bell of Connellsville, Pa., and Nellie; a brother, Bernard; nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Edward Joyce and family.
Friends will be received in THE STEPHEN E. KEZMARSKY III FUNERAL HOME AT 71 PENNSYLVAIA AVE., UNIONTOWN, PA., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Friday until 9 a.m., when Prayers of Transfer will be said, followed by a 9:30 a.m., Mass of Christian Burial in St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, with the Rev. Fr. William J. Kiel as celebrant. Interment follows in Oak Lawn Cemetery. A Parish Wake Service will be held today at 3:30 p.m., in the funeral home.
