Carolyn Sue (Walters) Kingan, 69, of Fairchance, Pa., born in Uniontown, Pa., died on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, at the Uniontown Hospital, and went to be with her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. She was born Aug. 4, 1935, in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of the late Bryan Walters and Ruth Miller Walters.

Carolyn was predeceased by her parents and her first husband, Wilbert H. Hartman, whom she was married to from 1957 to 1988.

She was a graduate of Camp Hill High School and attended Averette College in Danville, Va., and was formerly an active choir member of the State College Presbyterian Church.

Currently, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairchance, the Friendship Sunday School Class, Senior Choir, Soloist and Pianist for many years.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 14 years, C. Edwin Kingan; a daughter, Kathy Sue Hartman of Bethlehem, Pa.; a son, William H. Hartman and wife, Rose of Spring Mills, Pa.; four grandchildren; a mother-in-law, Anna Marie Kingan of Point Marion, Pa.; stepchildren, Deborah J. Fricke of Clearbrook, Va., Richard Kingan of Lanham, Md., and Dale Kingan of Frederick, Md.; 14 step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; a very close loving cousin, Patty Miller of Fairchance; and several other loving cousins.

The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church St., Fairchance, Pa., today from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Robert C. Ford and the Rev. Donald E. Walls officiating. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
