Leatrice G. Walker Obertach
Leatrice G. Walker Obertach, age 77, of Washington, Pa., died Saturday, December 4, 2004, in her daughter’s home.
She was born July 14, 1927, in Brownsville, Pa., a daughter of Matthew Walker and Nora (McCoy) Walker.
Leatrice attended the Brownsville schools.
On January 20, 1951, in Oakland, Maryland, she married Robert Obertach. Mr. Obertach died February 3, 1975.
Mrs. Obertach was a homemaker and for many years made her home with her best friend, Loretta Fisher.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Walker Rutan, three brothers, Lawrence, George and Harold Walker, and her parents.
Surviving are one son, Robert M. Obertach and his wife, Gloria, of Daisytown, Pa.; a daughter, Patricia Ann Obertach Halvin of Washington, Pa.; two brothers: Donald Walker of Florida and James Walker; two sisters: Patricia Porter of Brownsville, Pa., and Jean Nemish of Wooster, Ohio; three grandchildren: Charles Halvin, Travis Obertach and Shannon Obertach; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the PIATT AND BARNHILL FUNERAL HOME, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, PA 15301-3329 (724-225-3100) on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where Services will be held Tuesday, December 7, at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray, Pa.
