Man sought

State police are seeking Conway Edward Bechtol, 44, on an outstanding arrest warrant after Bechtol allegedly violated a protection from abuse order Wednesday night when he made contact with 40-year-old Hazel Diane Bechtol at her Collier Avenue residence. Police are asking anyone with information on Bectol’s whereabouts to call the Uniontown barracks at 724-439-7111.

Springhill Twp.

Man cited

State police cited 29-year-old Hector L. McClain for criminal mischief and harassment after he allegedly injured 22-year-old Dawn Marie Stewart’s finger at Johnny’s Part II bar and allegedly rammed her vehicle along Outcrop Road between 1 and 2:20 a.m. Saturday.

Property damaged

Someone sliced the front passenger side tire on a 2003 Dodge Neon, poured sugar into the car’s gas tank and cut the liner of the swimming pool, all at the 300 Gray Ave. residence of Edward I. Avery, 51, sometime between 4 p.m. Nov. 26 and 9 a.m. Nov. 28, according to state police. Anyone with information on the incidents is asked to call the Uniontown state police barracks at 724-439-7111.

Connellsville Twp.

DUI arrest

A Connellsville resident was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after his vehicle allegedly struck the front passenger side of a 1999 Buick Century driven by Joseph Brant Parker of Uniontown at the intersection of Rogers and East Crawford avenues at 8:45 p.m. Friday, state police said. No one was injured in the accident, according to police.

Gasoline stolen

Someone drove off in an older model blue Oldsmobile after stealing $20 in gas from BFS Foods around 10 p.m. Oct. 23, state police said.

Man arrested

State police arrested a Masontown man for driving under the influence of alcohol after his vehicle reportedly left Route 21 at 6:22 p.m. Tuesday.

Man cited

State police cited Lawrence Ewing Jr. of Masontown for disorderly conduct following a disturbance at 2056 Morgantown Road at 11:31 p.m. Thursday.

North Union Twp.

Four charged

State police charged Joshua M. Farrell, 20, of Uniontown and three juveniles with retail theft after police found them in possession of a boxer puppy that they allegedly carried out of Noah’s Ark animal shelter on North Gallatin Avenue at 12:45 p.m. Thursday by concealing the puppy under their coat.

South Union Twp.

DUI crash reported

A 66-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after his vehicle reportedly struck a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by Jamie L. Brown, 25, at a Route 21 stoplight at 7:12 p.m. Thursday, state police said. No one was injured in the accident, police said.

Assault reported

A 51-year-old Hibbs Lane man was arrested for simple assault and harassment after he allegedly pushed Carol Ann Stoffa, 46, of Footedale into her vehicle and tried to choke her at his Hibbs Lane residence at 5:54 p.m. Nov. 14, state police said. Stoffa was treated at the Uniontown Hospital for scratches to her face, police said.

Perry Twp.

Man charged

Robert Magruda of Perryopolis was charged with simple assault after he allegedly struck Jeannine Magruda of Perryopolis in her right eye, which caused it to become swollen and bruised, at a residence along Court Road Extension at 8:45 p.m. Friday, state police said. Police said Magruda was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.

Bar stool stolen

State police said a 20-year-old man stole a bar stool from Lagerheads Bar at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday then fled in a maroon sedan. Police said the stool was valued at $85. Police said the investigation continues.

West Pike Run Twp.

Charges pending

Charges of driving under the influence of alcohol are pending against a 58-year-old California man after his 2000 Chevrolet Blazer traveled about 150-feet down an embankment off the Route 40 roadway and came to rest in the woods at 9:20 p.m. Friday, state police said. The man was not injured, according to police.

Richeyville Volunteer Fire Department assisted police at the scene.

East Huntingdon Twp.

Car recovered

State police recovered a 2004 Hyundai Accent owned by Barry Hall Copley, 47, of Hunker on 15th Street in Jeannette two hours after it was reported stolen from the Huntingdon Village parking lot sometime between 10 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Saturday.
