Natalie “Nellie” Marie Cantini Bozek
Natalie “Nellie” Marie Cantini Bozek, age 85, of Masontown, Pa., died Friday, December 3, 2004, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.
She was born on December 27, 1918, in Footedale, Pa., a daughter of Guiseppi Cantini and Genveoffa (Filippi) Cantini.
“Nellie” was a member of All Saints Roman Catholic Church in Masontown where she was a Choir Member and a member of All Saints Confraternity of Christian Mothers.
She was also a member of The Rosary Society of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Saint Mary Roman Catholic Church, in Leckrone, Pa., the Italian Ladies Auxiliary in Masontown, and the Prayer Group in Leckrone.
She was very active in the Bozek Newsstand.
“Nellie” had a very outgoing personality.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Abraham J. Cantini and Wedo Cantini, and her parents.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 58 years, John F. Bozek; three children: Regina Bozek Saus and her husband, William Saus, John F. Bozek Jr. and his wife, Dale Ann, and Regis J. Bozek and his special friend, Becky Marin; six grandchildren: L. Jed Sharpe, M.D., and his wife Valarie, Black Sharpe, M.D., Michael Saus, John Steven Bozek, Beth Ann Bozek and Steven P. Bozek; and two sisters: Emma Cantini Croftcheck and Blanche Cantini Liptock.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., A Dignity Memorial Provider, 515 North Main Street, Masontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, December 7, until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Masontown, with the Rev. Father James F. Bump as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Mount Saint Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that Memorial Donations be made in honor of Natalie “Nellie” Marie Cantini Bozek to All Saints School, 100 South Washington Street, Masontown PA 15461.
The Rosary will be recited by All Saints Confraternity of Christian Mothers and The Rosary Society of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Saint Mary Roman Catholic Church, in the Funeral Home today at 3 p.m.
Visitation was also held Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
