Carl S. Micarelli
Carl S. Micarelli, 76, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, in Uniontown Hospital. He was born in Grindstone, Pa., on June 22, 1928, the son of the late Emilio and Lydia Capranica Micarelli.
Mr. Micarelli was a longtime musician in the Uniontown area, and he taught music in the Uniontown Area School District for many years. He was the owner/operator of Micarelli Music Center in Uniontown for over 48 years.
He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown, the Pittsburgh Musical Society, the Uniontown Musical Society, the Retired Teachers Association and the Uniontown V.F.W.
Mr. Micarelli was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army in the 24th Infantry Division. He received the World War II Victory Medal, and he also played in the Army Band.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Williams Micarelli; a daughter, Gina Micarelli and husband, Brian Eberts of Chalk Hill; a son, Carl E. Micarelli of Uniontown; two sisters, Gilda Vaclavik of Uniontown, and Elvira Hrcblak of Gaithersburg, Md.; and two grandchildren, Ana Eberts and Claire Mehalov.
Friends will be received in the DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, today from 7 to 9 p.m., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, until 9 a.m., at which time Prayers of Transfer will be said. A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 9:30 a.m., in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Jefferson Street, Uniontown. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
