Steve A. Chorba
Steve A. Chorba, 80, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Monday morning, Dec. 6, 2004, in his home. Born Oct. 15, 1924, in West Leisenring, Pa., he was the son of the late Alex and Mary Chorba.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters, John Chorba, George Chorba, Ann Palgutta, Mary Lesco and Elizabeth Mattish.
Steve was a member of Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, a World War II veteran, serving in the Army as a Ssgt., a member of the American Legion Post 51, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 08543, and a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1275.
He loved Polka music and enjoyed playing accordion in the band. He was employed for years at U.S. Steel in Homestead, as a steel worker.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Dolores; two loving sons, Stephen L. Chorba and wife, Renee of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Daniel S. Chorba and wife, Anna of McClellandtown, Pa.; grandchildren, Ashley, Mark and Danny; and his sister, Margaret Labiak of Chicago, Ill.
