Harold F. Rose, 68, of Fairchance, Pa., and formerly of Baltimore, Md., died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at his residence. He was born Nov. 11, 1936, in Republic, Pa., son of the late Albert L. Rose and Florence Mae Hicks Rose.

Harold graduated from Georges Township High School in 1936, and was an employee with the Social Security Administration for many years until his retirement.

Surviving are his brother, Edward L. Rose of Aberdeen, N.C.; two nephews, Edward Albert Rose and wife, Geaneva and Harold Stephen Rose; a niece, Kimberly Haynes and husband, Gary; four great-nieces; three great-nephews; three great great-nieces; three great great-nephews; and several cousins.

The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church St., Fairchance, Pa., on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, from noon until 2 p.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Wayne Sawyer officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
