Mary Yancich
Mary Prete Yancich, 93, of Dilliner, Pa., died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, at her home. She was born August 16, 1911, in Monte Furia Ascoli Piceno, Italy, daughter of the late Anzareno and Anna Rossi Prete.
She was a member of Saint Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, Bobtown, and of the Rosary Altar Society and the Catholic Daughters. She was also a member of the Shannopin Civic Club and the Bobtown Senior Citizens.
She was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas (Nick) Yancich on March 6, 1970.
She is survived by one daughter, Dolores Yancich Palmer, Solon, Ohio; three sons, Michael Yancich, Dilliner, Alex Yancich and wife Dolores, Ellicotte City, Md. and Richard Yancich, New Philadelphia, Ohio; six grandchildren, Greg Palmer and wife Jessica, Renee Courey and husband Mark, Nick Yancich and wife Ellen, David Yancich and wife Kim, Kristin Yancich and Kara Yancich; eight great-grandchildren, Mark, Jr. and Meghan Courey, Christian, Brent, Gillian, Ashlei, Lindsey and David Yancich; a sister, Doris Lewandowski, Warren, Mich.; and two brothers, Orando Prete, Dilliner and Louis Prete and his wife Louise, Bobtown.
Friends will be received in the LOUIS E. RUDOLPH FUNERAL HOME, 15 Main Street, Point Marion, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Brief prayers will be said in the funeral home on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Ignatius Church at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Lawrence Holpp as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion. Parish Vigil Service will be held in the funeral home today at 8:30 p.m.
