Thomas C. Sproat
Thomas C. Sproat, 79, of Dawson, Pa., died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, in the Beverly Healthcare, Uniontown, Pa. He was born in Dawson, Pa., December 15, 2004, a son of the late Thomas and Bertha Hagerman Sproat.
Thomas was a retired crane operator for the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad. He served with the Army during World War II, was a member of the Philip G. Cochran memorial United Methodist Church, Dawson Volunteer Fire Company, Fayette County Firemans Association and National Pike Steam, Gas and Horse Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and nine sisters.
He is survived by son, Timothy F. Sproat of Alexandria, Va. and daughters, Cheryl Sproat Holladay and Joanne C. Sproat, both of Plano, Texas.
Friends will be received at the RALPH E. GALLEY FUNERAL HOME, Dawson, today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m., minister Rev. Keith McIlwain officiating. Interment will be in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Connellsville, Pa.
