John “Jack” McBride
John “Jack” McBride, age 79, of Mount Pleasant, Pa., died Saturday, December 11, 2004, in his home. “Jack” was born November 2, 1925, in Uniontown, Pa., the son of Daniel and Nora (Murphy) McBride.
He was a Veteran of World War II who served in the United States Navy, the recipient of the Pacific Theatre Ribbon, The American Theatre Ribbon and The Victory Medal.
Prior to retirement he was self-employed in sales.
He was Catholic by faith and was a member of the Fayette County Senior Golf Association and the Laurel Mountain Golf League.
“Jack” was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, William “Bus” McBride.
He is survived by his loving family: his wife of 56 years, Mary Lou Hellein McBride; his son, “Jack” McBride and his wife, Pamela, of Verona, Pa.; his three daughters: Cheryl Ann Lumley and her husband, David, of New Castle, Pa., Maureen Bufton and her husband, Jeffrey, of Macedon, New York, and Kelly Keno and her husband, Steven, of Acme, Pa.; and his eight grandchildren: Jeffrey David Lumley, Derek John McBride, Amanda Jane McBride, Devin Mark Keno, Anika Megan Keno, Kaitlyn Lee Bufton, Molly Erin Bufton and Riley James Bufton. He is also survived by his sister, Louise McDowell of Uniontown, Pa.; and his three brothers: James Emmett McBride of South Fayette Township, Pa., Gerald McBride of Washington, Pa., and Robert McBride of Uniontown, Pa.
Friends will be received at GALONE-CARUSO’s, 204 Eagle Street, Mount Pleasant, Pa., on Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Additional viewing will be held Wednesday, December 15, from 11 a.m. until 12 Noon, the time of Service with the Rev. Doug Burns officiating.
Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont, Pa.
