Shelter reservations will be accepted beginning Jan 10
WASHINGTON – The Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation will begin accepting shelter reservations for the three county parks beginning Monday, Jan. 10, 2005. Reservations for Mingo Creek, Ten Mile Creek and Cross Creek county parks will be accepted in person or by application through the mail. All reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservations will be accepted by telephone. The Parks and Recreation office is located in Room 604 in the Courthouse Square Building. It is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Permit applications are available at the following locations: Avella Country Market, Bentleyville Library, Burgettstown Borough Building, Canonsburg Borough Building, Charleroi Chamber of Commerce, Donora Borough Building, Giant Eagle in Finleyville, Monongahela Borough Building, and Peters Township Municipal Building. They are also available at Cross Creek Bait and Tackle, Brownsville Municipal Building, California Borough Building, Curtis Pharmacy in Claysville, Cross Creek Township Building, Agway in Eighty Four, Ten Mile Junction in Millsboro, the McDonald Borough Building and the Washington County Tourist Promotion Agency.
