Filippone-McGettigan
Gina Filippone of Gaithersburg, Md., and Tim McGettigan, also of Gaithersburg, are engaged to be married. A ceremony for September is planned.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Joann Sabatini of Grindstone and Robert Filippone of Latrobe.
She is a 1995 graduate of Brownsville Area High School and a 1999 graduate of California University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of science degree in wildlife biology. She is a chemist with URS Corp. in Linthicum, Md.
Her fiance is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McGettigan of Olney, Md.
He is a 1993 graduate of Magruder High School and is a driver with United Parcel Service in Gaithersburg.
