Louise “Liz” Fisher Thomas, age 94, of Washington, D.C., and formerly of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Friday morning, December 17, 2004, in Doctors Hospital, Lanham, Maryland.

She was born September 19, 1910, in Romany, West Virginia, daughter of Charles and Nettie Fisher.

She was a lifelong resident of Uniontown, known and loved by all.

Liz was predeceased by her husband, Wallace “Fishie” Thomas, and parents.

Surviving are two daughters: Mary Belle “Bird” Jennings and Linda Thomas both of Washington D.C.; four grandchildren: Larry Thomas of Florida, Lorie Jennings and Lisa Jennings both of Washington, D.C., and Misty Thomas of Uniontown, Pa.; three great-grandchildren; three brothers: Richard “Slug” Fisher of Florida, Edward “Bucky” Fisher of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Dr. Jimmy Fisher of Altoona, Pa.; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Friends will be received in the MURIEL E. LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, 297 East Main Street, Uniontown, Pa., on Monday, December 20, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. A.C. Durant, Pastor of Tenth Street Baptist Church, Washington, D.C., officiating.

Interment will be in Smithfield Cemetery (Mount Moriah Baptist), Smithfield, Pa.
