Mary Vrabel Hrscavich, age 84, of California, Pa., died Friday, December 17, 2004.

She was born May 25, 1920, in Daisytown, Pa., daughter of John and Eva (Macasek) Vrabel.

Mary was a member of Saint Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church in California, Pa.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hrscavich (2001), a brother, Thomas Vrabel and her parents.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: sons and daughters-in-law: Joseph and Janice Hersh of Enola, Pa., and John and Dr. Camilla Hersh of McLean, Virginia, and daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Tom Brown of Carnegie, Pa.; and one sister, Ann Lasosky Zuro of Richeyville, Pa. Also surviving are nine granddaughters: Monica Hersh, Angela Hersh, Melissa Hersh, Johanna Hersh, Savannah Hersh, Rachel Hersh, Emily Hersh, Anna Hersh and Mary Katherine Brown.

Friends will be received in the MARISCOTTI FUNERAL HOME INC., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, Pa., on Monday, December 20, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, December 21, until 9:30 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held in the Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in Saint Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Mark A. Skertich as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
