Bertha M. Darnell
Bertha M. Murray Darnell, 81, of Dunbar, Pa., died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004. She was born November 15, 1923, in Lemont Furnace, Pa., to the late Elmer and Susanna (Yowler) Murray.
She was predeceased by her husband, Earl (Chum) Darnell in 1988; brothers, Billy, Kenneth and Jacob; and sisters, Laura and Sarah.
She was formerly employed as a Lear Inspector at Anchor Hocking Glass.
Surviving are daughters, Linda Spivey of Chandler, Ariz. and Darlene Kaylor and husband Ronald of Little Summit; sons, Gary Darnell and family of Dunbar, Mark Darnell and wife Anita and family of Dunbar and Scott Darnell and family of Dunbar; brother, Harry Murray of Uniontown; sisters, Mary Murray and Kathryn Klaes, both of New Kensington; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, Pa., Sunday, Dec. 26 from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, Dec. 27 from 12 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, Dec. 28 until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with Pastor Lee Maley officiating. Interment will be at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Dunbar.
