Roger Lee Lilley Sr.
Roger Lee Lilley Sr., age 51, of Uniontown, Pa., and formerly of McClellandtown, Pa., passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2004, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.
He was born September 2, 1953, in Uniontown, Pa., son of Mabel L. Lilley, presently a resident of Uniontown.
Roger graduated in 1971 from the former German Township High School, McClellandtown.
He was employed as a Respiratory Therapist at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Roger was a United States Army Veteran, a member of the First Christian Church in Republic, Pa., the General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 in Hopwood, Pa., The Disabled American Veterans, and the AARP, and a former member of the McClellandtown Volunteer Fire Company.
Roger was a devoted and loving Husband, Father and Son and will be sadly missed by his family!
He is survived by his mother, Mabel Lilley; his loving wife of over 26 years, Debbie J. (Armel) Lilley; a son, Roger Lee Lilley Jr. serving in the United States Navy stationed on the USS Saipan LH-(2) out of Norfolk, Virginia, and his wife, Katie; a daughter, Amber Lilley presently a student at Bucknell University and her loving boyfriend, Chris; his mother-in-law, Jean Armel; his father-in-law, John Armel Sr.; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the H. DAVID McELROY FUNERAL HOME, 803 Main Street, McClellandtown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, December 28, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service. The Rev. J. W. Hormell will officiate.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa., where Graveside Military Rites will be conducted by the General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, 2 Gateway Center, 13 North, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
Visitation was also held Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
