Charles J. Livingston

Charles James Livingston, 76, of Connellsville, Pa., died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at his home, comforted by his loving family. He was born Sept. 30, 1928, in Bullskin Township, Pa., a son of the late George G. and Mary E. Stauffer Livingston.

Charles was a lifelong resident of the Connellsville area. Prior to his retirement in 1988, he was an autoworker at General Motors Fisher Body Plant in Dravosburg, for 35 years. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was Protestant by faith. Charles liked to hunt and fish, but most of all, he loved being with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Beverly Bierer Livingston; four sons, Jay Scott Livingston of Harmans, Md., Charles A. Livingston and his wife, Shelly of Dover, Del., Mark W. Livingston and his wife, Jeanne of Connellsville, and Gregg E. Livingston and his wife, Theresa of Mount Pleasant; a daughter, Amy L. Ranker and her husband, John of Jeannette; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Marshall D. Livingston and his wife, Clara of Connellsville, and Earl Livingston and his wife, Mary of Dawson; and a sister, Sarah Helkowski of Scottdale.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Paul and Gilbert Livingston; six sisters, Mary Katherine Prinkey, Kathleen Grover, Luella Grimm, Ruth Kern, Chelsea Shank and Minnie Lingenfield; and a grandson, Justin L ivingston..
