Helen Zasadny
Helen (Soltis) Zasadny, 83, of Whitsett, Pa., died Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at 2:35 a.m., in her home, with family by her side, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 18, 1920, at Trotter, Pa., daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Majercak Soltis.
She is survived by six loving daughters, Judith Olowiany of Waldorf, Md., Mary (Mimi) Smith of Alexandria, Va., Rose Konick of Cranberry Township, Pa., Patricia Zasadny of Waldorf, Md., Barbara Zasadny of Tarrs, Pa., and Christine Yohman of Smock; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one brother, Steve Soltis of Crestwood, Ill.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Zasadny; three brothers, Edward, John and Joseph Soltis; and two sisters: an infant sister and Mary Soltis.
At Helen’s wishes, there will be no visitation or viewing.
The family welcomes friends to attend a Memorial Mass on Friday, May 7, 2004, at 11 a.m., in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, Pa., with the Rev. Fr. John T. Euker as celebrant.
