Lola Ferary

Lola (Franks) Ferary, 85, of 606 North Main St., Masontown, Pa., died Tuesday, May 4, 2004, in Pottstown Medical Center. She was born Aug. 15, 1918, in Leckrone, Pa., daughter of the late Francesco (Francini) Franks and Emilia (Baldi) Franks.

She was the owner/operator of Ferary’s Department Store in Masontown, Pa., and a member of the BPW. She was also a member of All Saints Roman Catholic Church of Masontown, Pa.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph B. Ferary Jr., whom she married on Feb. 14, 1938; and a brother, George Franks Sr.

Surviving are a son, Joseph B. and wife, Mary Beth Ferary III of Panama City, Fla.; a daughter, Emilia “Bunnie” and husband, Ronald Riffle of Boyertown, Pa.; a granddaughter, Jamie Cullipher of Boyertown, Pa., a grandson, Joseph B. Ferary of Atlanta, Ga.; three granddaughters, Mindy Slifer of Birdsboro, Pa., Gia Ferary of Phoenix, Ariz., and Brandy Haiman of Panama City, Fla.; seven great-grandchildren, Shannon, Evan, Aden, Isabella, Angelina, Jacob and Brandon; and many beloved nieces, nephews and family members.

She lived in Masontown, for 85 years, and then joined her daughter in Boyertown in November. She will always be remembered for her gentle, loving, caring and thoughtful ways.

Friends will be received in the JOHN S.today from 6 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, May 8, 2004, until 10:00 a.m., the hour of a prayer service, with the Rev. Fr. James F. Bumpofficiating. Interment in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
