Eloise Mitchell, 85, of Philadelphia, Pa., formerly of the Orient area, passed away Monday, May 3, 2004. She was born May 23, 1918, in Philadelphia, Pa.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Roosevelt Mitchell.

Surviving are three daughters, Shirley Mitchell and Cleaster Jackson Mitchell, both of New York, and Doreen Outland of Philadelphia; one sister, Rita Hayes of Detroit, Mich.; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Friends will be received in the MURIEL E. LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, 297 East Main St., Uniontown, today from 7 to 9 p.m., where services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Leonard Kirby officiating. Interment in LaFayette Memorial Park.
