Assault investigated

State police said an 18-year-old girl from Hiller reported that somebody she knows assaulted her at a Thompson 2 residence Monday at 5 p.m.

Man arrested

James Lee Bradley, 19, of 151 Connellsville St. was charged with simple assault, harassment and receiving stolen property Monday morning, city police said. He allegedly struck and injured his mother Marlene Lee at her 196 Lenox St. home, and a stolen handgun was among four loaded guns he had hidden there, police said. A 9mm Ruger handgun reported stolen to state police at Uniontown, another handgun and two assault rifles were recovered police said. The ownership of the other weapons is being investigated. Bradley was arraigned and released on $25,000 unsecured bail.

Incident investigated

City police said Alissa Johns, 21, of Coolspring Street reported that an unknown man grabbed her by the head and licked her neck at the A-Plus on Connellsville Street at 9:29 p.m. Monday. The man was described as black, 5 feet 6 inches tall with longer hair.

Arson investigated

State police said five junk vehicles and a junk camper along Railroad Street in Grindstone were set on fire Saturday at 3:55 a.m. state police said. The victim was identified as Joseph Kennedy of Newell. Police ask anybody with information about the incident to call the station at 724-929-6262.

Assault reported

State police said a known male from Point Marion struck a 17-year-old girl in the face, pulled her hair, pushed her against a wall a number of time at apartment 4, Outcrop Apartments, Outcrop Road, at 1:48 a.m. Tuesday.

Theft reported

An aluminum ladder stage owned by Dan Kessler of Lemont Furnace was stolen from a construction site along Harding Drive, Jefferson Estates, between 2 p.m. May 5 and 9 a.m. Monday, state police said.

South Union Twp.

Cash stolen

State police said $530.25 was taken from a cash register while it was left unattended Monday at 7 p.m. at Dominics of New York, Matthew Drive.

Redstone Twp.

Money stolen

A green Mellon Bank moneybag containing $270 was stolen from a truck owned by Homer Allen Walter of Chestwick while the truck was parked along New Salem Road between 1 and 1:34 a.m. April 27, state police said. Police ask anybody with information to call the station at 724-929-6262.

Man cited

Keith A. Thomas, 18, of 44 Lemon St. was cited for public drunkenness following a disturbance in a Pershing Court parking lot at 3:57 a.m. Tuesday, city police said.

Charges pending

Charges are pending against a 24-year-old Fayette City man for allegedly damaging a car owned by Tamara L. Uhor, 22, of Fayette City on Lowber Street at 2:20 p.m. Monday, state police said.

Car scratched

Somebody scratched a car owned by Ashley Catherine Kaylor between 5:10 and 6:30 p.m. Monday at 5 Kira Drive, state police said.

Man cited

Ryan Hazuga of Denbo was cited with harassment and disorderly conduct after a fight in front of 209 Bentleyville Apartments at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, state police said. The victim was Dina Monk.

City police said Miranda Smith discovered a window screen cut and a window broken at her 12 Carlisle St. home Tuesday at 11:52 p.m.

City police said Amanda Marie Thorpe of 104 Pershing Court reported Tuesday at 1:19 a.m. Tuesday that a known male took her car keys and two other known men took her car stereo speakers.

City police said George E. Karfelt reported the theft of four pieces of stockade fencing from his 65 Wayne St. home at 6:09 p.m. Monday.

Windshield damaged

State police said a 9-year-old boy damaged the windshield on a vehicle owned by Melissa Poole, 510 Heisterburg Road, East Millsboro, with a rock at 7 p.m. May 4 at 544 Third St., Isabella.

Juvenile assaulted

State police said a juvenile began striking another juvenile in the face May 4 at 5 p.m. in Star Junction. The victim had various injuries.

Menallen Twp.

ATV pursuit

State police terminated their pursuit of a male suspect on an all-terrain vehicle after he went off-road around 6 p.m. Monday, state police said. The suspect failed to yield during a traffic stop, police said.

Vehicle damaged

Someone caused about $500 in damages to a vehicle at a residence on Gans-Woodbridge Road by kicking the car door on May 5, state police said.
