MENALLEN GRANGE 1091 will meet at 7 p.m. Friday at the grange on New Salem Road. PRECEPTOR BETA PHI will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Carol Fedorka residence.
HOPWOOD VILLAGE QUEEN, Arlene Curstead, will be crowned at 11 a.m. Saturday at the National City Bank during the National Pike Festivities in Hopwood. The choirs of the Hopwood and Brownfield United Methodist churches, led by Lucy Truman, will provide music. Walter Raffle, brother-in-law of the queen, will be the soloist.
LAUREL HIGHLANDS HIGH SCHOOL band booster parents will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday.
HOPWOOD GARDEN CLUB will hold its annual plant sale and basket give-away on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of Four Star Pizza.
KEISTERVILLE COMMUNITY will hold a yard sale at the Keisterville Ball field on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Food and beverages will be sold. It is sponsored by the Keisterville Community and Youth Center Inc.
RIVER VALLEY CHAPTER OF A.B.A.T.E. will meet at 7 p.m. today at Rose’s in Republic.
PIONEER TRAILS CLUSTER of the United Methodist Churches will begin its travel season. Trips are open to the public. They include: July 1, Broadway play at the Benedum, Pittsburgh; July 24-31, Chicago tour with Broadway play and cruise; Aug. 4, West Virginia Public Theater; Sept. 18, Washington, D.C. trip; Nov. 19, Pittsburgh light-up night; Dec. 3, Mountain View Inn country Christmas show.
