Paving planned The Parking Lot at the Fayette County Assistance Office, 41 W. church Street, Uniontown, is scheduled to be paved beginning, Monday. The parking lot will be closed for the entire week. Parking will have to be found elsewhere. The lot will reopen Monday, May 24.

Entrance to the building will be through the gate in the alley.

Dispute ironed out

Upper Tyrone Township Supervisor Chairman Sam Killinger said he and Supervisor Jack Fullem met with Rich Shirey Wednesday morning and ironed out a dispute concerning a drainage pipe on Killinger’s property.

At Tuesday’s regular supervisors’ meeting, Killinger and Shirey had an argument over who owns the drainage pipe and whose responsibility it was to have it fixed.

Killinger said even though a portion of the pipe is on his property the township will take responsibility for it because it is also situated on the township right of way.
