Jacob’s Creek Christian School accepting applications for fall admission
The board of directors announced Jacob’s Creek Christian School will open this fall. Located at 342 Lutheran Church Road in Masontown, Jacob’s Creek Christian School will be a middle school serving grades six, seven and eight, providing a quality education in a Christian environment.
Officials said, “Many parents and/or families are looking for a continuation of the Christian education their children have received in grade school but until now have not been able to find. Or perhaps they are seeking an alternative to options currently available. Jacob’s Creek Christian School is one of the few Christian middle schools in the area.’
The school board said there would be no more than 15 students per class, and transportation is by area school districts.
Officials said, “Our goal is to provide every opportunity for students to receive a well-rounded, Christian-based education in an atmosphere conducive to the enhancement of their potential.’
The site of the school is Jacob’s Lutheran Church, although the curriculum is not Lutheran in content. It is Biblically based with Christian values but without denominational overtones. The curriculum to be offered follows the A Beka Curriculum, all Christian-based materials. Classes will include literature, language arts, math, social studies, science, health, Spanish, physical education, music, Bible, life skills and field trips.
