Dora K. Anderson Shipley
Dora K. Anderson Shipley, 83, of Connellsville, Bullskin Township, Pa., died Sunday, May 16, 2004, in Highlands Hospital, Connellsville.
She was born October 7, 1920, in Coal Center, Washington County, Pa., daughter of Charles E. and Dora R. (Keith) Anderson.
Dora was a resident of Connellsville for most of her life and graduated from Connellsville High School.
Dora was a member of the First Baptist Church in Connellsville and its E. M. Snyder Sunday School Class, and the Bullskin Township Senior Citizens Center.
Dora is survived by her loving children: Earl Shipley and his girlfriend Cindy Wilkins of Vanderbilt, Pa., Vickey Kremposky and her husband Matthew of Lemont Furnace, Pa., and Vanessa Massey and her husband Steven of Riverside, Rhode Island; 10 grandchildren: Dennis McKnight of Donora, Pa., Joelle Lilly of Monessen, Pa., Robin McKnight of Donora, Sandi Shipley of Connellsville, Chevonne Kremposky, Alicia Kremposky and Joshua Kremposky all of Lemont Furnace, Andrew Massey and Paul Massey both of Riverside, Rhode Island, and Mason Shipley of Vanderbilt. Dora was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene S. Shipley in 1993, a daughter, Jennifer McKnight, two infant sons, a grandson, Jonathan Kremposky, two sisters, Lillian Winkler and Dorothy Whitehead, three brothers, Charles, John E. and James Tracy Anderson, and her parents.
Family and Friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 East Green Street, Connellsville, Pa., on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Friday, May 21, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Larry R. Hellein officiating.
A Committal Service and interment will follow in Indian Creek Baptist Cemetery, Mill Run, Pa.
