Joseph J. Deskovich, age 77, of Hopwood, Pa., passed away Saturday, May 15, 2004 in Uniontown Hospital.

He was born March 11, 1927 in West Leisenring, Pa., son of Francis and Blanche (Sveda) Deskovich.

Mr. Deskovich was a member of General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 in Hopwood and a Veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa R. (Sweda) Deskovich in 1996, a sister, Rosalie Deskovich, a brother, Edward Deskovich, and parents.

Surviving are Children: Claudia Ramsey of Charleroi, Pa., Robert J. Deskovich of Hopwood, Pa., and Theodore Deskovich of Arlington, Virginia; six Grandchildren: Michael Ramsey, Scott Ramsey, Joseph Ramsey, James Ramsey, Justin Deskovich and Robert Deskovich Jr.; and a Brother, Francis Deskovich of Fairchance, Pa.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pa., today (Tuesday, May 18) until 9:30 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held with Rev. Fr. William J. Kiel officiating.

Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, Pa., where Military Rites will be accorded by AMVETS Post 103.

Visitation was also held Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
