Anthony R. Brugger
Anthony R. “Butch” Brugger, 62, of Farmington, Pa., passed away Sunday, May 16, 2004 in Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.
He was born October 30, 1941 in Smithfield, Pa., son of Bertha Lechner Brugger of Uniontown, Pa., and the late Anthony “Tony” Brugger.
“Butch” was employed with Sensus Technologies for 33 years.
He served in the United States Army Reserves where he qualified as a Marksman and was a member of General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 in Hopwood.
He was an avid hunter and golfer and was a member of the Hutchinson Sportsman’s Club and Wharton Hunting and Fishing Club.
“Butch” was a Little League Coach at the Hopwood Area Recreation Complex (HARC).
During his childhood he participated in the Williamsport Little League World Series.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Virginia Tolbert Brugger; a son, Clint Anthony Brugger and wife Tina of Farmington; one grandson, Gage Anthony Brugger; one sister, Shirley Cerny and husband John of High House, Pa.; a special niece, Marsia Marchitello of Uniontown; a special brother-in-law, Vaughn Tolbert of Hopwood, Pa.; a special sister-in-law, Lois Pepson of Uniontown; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Dale Spaw of Farmington.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME OF FARMINGTON, Pa., today from 2 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, May 20, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., the hour of the Service with the Rev. Michael Musser officiating.
Interment will follow in Bethel Memorial Cemetery, Farmington.
