David R. Mitchell, age 50, of Belle Vernon, Pa., died Tuesday, May 18, 2004, at 12:44 p.m. in Jefferson Regional Health System, Jefferson Borough, Pa. Born December 15, 1953, in Uniontown, Pa., he was the son of William Glenn Mitchell and Margaret Deck Mitchell, who survive and reside in Smithfield, Pa.

Mr. Mitchell was a resident of Belle Vernon for the past 17 years.

He was Catholic by faith and was employed at Elliott Turbo Machinery in Jeannette, Pa., where he worked in after-market sales.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved children: two sons, Erik D. Mitchell and Chad R. Mitchell, both of Stockdale, Pa., a daughter, Carly Ann Mitchell of New Stanton, Pa., and their mother, Carol Yurkovich Mitchell of New Stanton, Pa.; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Glenn William and Shirley Mitchell of Wisconsin, Kevin and Peggy Mitchell of New Jersey, and Teddy and Lynette Mitchell of Uniontown, Pa.; and two sisters and brothers-in-law: Lynn and Dave Baker of Perryopolis, Pa., and Kathy and Rodney Ohler of Ohio.

Visitation was held at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon, Pa. 15012 (724-929-6183) Wednesday and Thursday. A Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home today at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. Rudolph Smolley officiating.

Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.
