Albert Gallatin Art Club sponsors exhibit
Members of the Albert Gallatin High School Art Club are sponsoring an art exhibition at the National City Bank in downtown Uniontown during May. The work is a cross-section of student works completed during the school year by the following classes: Art 1, 2, 3 and 4, Arts and Crafts, Photography 1 and 2, Ceramics and Sculpture 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Artwork on display includes drawings in pencil, marker and mixed media; paintings in watercolor, oils, acrylics, pastels and mixed media; linoleum and wood block prints; various photography-related techniques, including hand-developed black/white prints, hand-colored prints, computer-enhanced images and ceramic/sculptural pieces using a variety of clays and construction/decorating techniques.
The art teachers at the senior high school are Sharon Bunyan, who teachers Art 1 and 2 and Arts and Crafts; Madelyn Cindric, who teaches Art 3 and 4, Arts and Crafts, and Ceramics and Sculpture; and Marianne Filiaggi, who teachers Photography 1 and 2.
The exhibit is located in the red-tiled hallway of the downtown branch of National City Bank in both the front and center windows.
The exhibition will run through May during bank hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The public is invited to view the display.
