Earl R. Finley Jr.
Earl R. Finley Jr., age 59, of Fredericktown, Pa., died unexpectedly at 11:13 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2004 in the Emergency Room of Brownsville General Hospital, Brownsville, Pa.
He was born October 21, 1944 in Brownsville, Pa., a son of Earl R. Finley Sr. and Helen Shomock Finley of Vestaburg, Pa.
Mr. Finley was a 1962 graduate of Beth-Center High School and a 1971 graduate of California University of Pennsylvania.
He was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He served 13 months in Vietnam and was Honorably Discharged with a Bronze Star and the Rank of Spec 5.
At the time of his death Mr. Finley was employed as Regional Manager for Kinetic Bio Medical based in Erie, Pa.
Mr. Finley enjoyed hunting and golf. He also served as a baseball and soccer coach.
On November 22, 1968, he married Earlene E. Darney Finley, who survives.
Also surviving, in addition to his parents and his wife, are two Sons: Grant Finley and Drew Finley both at home; one sister, Marianne Finley Pryor of Washington, Pa.; several Nieces and Nephews.
Friends will be received in the GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 42 Bank Street at Crawford Road, Fredericktown, Pa., today and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where Services will be held Wednesday, May 26, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Grunebach and the Rev. Paul Min officiating.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa., where Military Honors will be accorded by Hanson-Cole American Legion Post 391 of Fredericktown.
The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association or a charity of one’s choice.
