Input sought Greene County residents will have three final opportunities to provide input for the Greene County Recreation, Parks and Trails/Greenway Plan during the final rounds of public meetings scheduled regarding the future of the program next week.
Meetings will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the Carmichaels Area High School cafeteria, 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Central Greene High School cafeteria and Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 6 p.m. at the West Greene Middle-Senior High School cafeteria.
All residents, municipal officials, recreation providers and interested residents are invited to attend the meetings.

Union supported
More than 100 area nursing home employees voted to join the United Mine Workers of America for union representation last week.
According to UMWA International President Cecil Roberts, the 80-25 vote was in response to allegations by employees of insufficient staffing for the 120-bed Rolling Meadows Nursing Home located in Waynesburg.
The employees, who include 108 women, range from licensed practical nurses to maintenance and housekeeping employees.
The Guardian Foundation controls the facility.
Workshop set
California borough will host a grant-writing workshop conducted by Mike Sand, the coordinator of a new grant assistance program for the Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs. The new program can assign an experienced grant writer to each borough to assist in researching, writing and managing grants. The workshop will be on Monday, Nov. 22, from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 225 Third St. in California. There is no charge for the workshop.
Dinner announced
The Barn of Praise Ministry, 207 Hill Farm Road, Dunbar, will host a spaghetti dinner on Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. The menu includes spaghetti, Italian bread, salad, drink and dessert.
The cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children six to 12 years old and free for children under five years old. Take-out orders will be available.
