Charles Truman Barnhart
Charles Truman Barnhart, age 86, of Smithfield, Pa., died Sunday, November 7, 2004, at 8 a.m. in Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. He was born April 14, 1918, in Masontown, Pa., the son of Charles “Pup” Barnhart and Rose (Hawk) Barnhart.
Charles had been a coal miner for the H. C. Frick Coal Company and had also been employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDot).
He was Protestant by faith.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred (Lowry) Barnhart on January 16, 2004, a daughter, Judith Barnhart, a son, Charles Barnhart, two brothers, Clyde and Jerry, a sister, Gwendalyn, and his parents.
He is survived by three sons: Lowell Keith Barnhart and his wife Patricia of Smithfield, Pa., Leland Barnhart and his wife Valery of McClellandtown, Pa., and Randall Earl Barnhart of Rayland, Ohio; a daughter, Charlotte Barnhart Sellers and her husband Raymond Sellers of Zelienople, Pa.; and a brother, Donald Barnhart and his wife Shirley of McClellandtown, Pa.
Friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, corner of Church at 7 River Avenue, Masontown, Pa., on Saturday, November 13, 2004, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m.
A Memorial Service will be held in the FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Roland O’Brien officiating.
Interment will follow in Greendale Cemetery, Masontown, Pa.
