Dora Stranak Kott, age 101, of Merrittstown, Pa., died Thursday November 11, 2004, at her residence.

She was born September 15, 1903, in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of John and Mary (Bednarik) Stranak.

Dora was a member of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in New Salem.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Kott, two sons, William P. Kott and Michael Kott Jr., a daughter, Elizabeth Kott, brothers, Paul Stranak and Mike Stranak, sisters, Anna Stranak Valesko and Mary Stranak Gill, and parents.

She is survived by the following children: Joseph Kott and Dorothy Kott both of Merrittstown, Pa., Stephen Kott and wife, Sally, of Long Island, New York, Mary Malanick of Ohio, John Kott and wife, Lisa, of Culpepper, Virginia, Natalie Talbert and husband, Don, of North Carolina, and Fred Kott and wife, Kathy, of Ellicott, Maryland; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., 19 Legion Street, Republic, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Visitation will continue Monday, November 15, in HOLY TRINITY ORTHODOX CHURCH, New Salem, Pa., from 9:30 until 10 a.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. Father Rodney Torbic officiating.

Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Orthodox Cemetery, New Salem.

Pomen Services will be held today at 3 p.m.

Visitation was also held Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
