Rose Marie Kezmarsky Smolley
Rose Marie Kezmarsky Smolley, age 66, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 11, 2004, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia, with her loving family at her side.
Born April 12, 1938, in Uniontown, Pa., she was the daughter of Stephen E. Kezmarsky Sr. and Rose Nascimben Kezmarsky.
Rose was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church and was the Chairperson for the Areford Area Picnic for 12 years.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years, Paul Anthony Smolley; her son, Paul A. Smolley Jr. and his wife, Cathy, of Fairchance, Pa.; her daughter, Anna Marie Polito and her husband, Edward, of Uniontown; her granddaughter whom she loved and adored, Sofia Rose Polito; her sister, Wanda Bryte and her husband, Darrell, of Uniontown; her brother, Stephen E. Kezmarsky Jr. and his wife, Marycarol, of Gans, Pa.; several loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; the following brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Tony and Mary Smolley, Joe and Irene Smolley, Helen Smolley and Marge Maier; and several friends and neighbors.
Rose will be remembered as a kind-hearted, loving and caring person who loved many things in life, but she loved her family the most! She was proud to be a wife, mother, sister, aunt, mother-in-law and sister-in-law, and most proud to be a grandmother to Sofia.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN E. KEZMARKSY III FUNERAL HOME AT 71 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, UNIONTOWN, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday morning, November 15, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 11:30 a.m. in Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Jefferson Street, with the Rev. Father William J. Kiel as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Saint John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Hopwood, Pa.

Visitation was also held Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
