Mary E. Sumey
Mary E. Sumey, 68, of Big Brownfield, Pa., passed away Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, at home. She was born May 4, 1936, in Point Marion, Pa., daughter of the late James Brink and Ella Mae Ritter Brink Conroy.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Edmund Sumey; two brothers, James Brink Jr., and Robert Brink; and a sister, Patty Brink.
Surviving are her children, Leonard Edgar Sumey of Chinle, Ariz., Sgt. Terry (Ray) Sumey and wife, Jesenia of Fort Bragg, N.C., Cathy Lewis of New Salem, Kellie Savage and husband, Freddie of Hopwood, and Patty Delorenzo and husband, Blaine of Big Brownfield; 13 grandchildren, Tanya, Nicole, Sean, Jonathan, Kellie Jo, Brianna, April, Scott, Kassandra, Danielle, Raeanna, Roberto and Terry Michael; three brothers and three sisters, Arthur Brink of Michigan, Daniel Brink of Pittsburgh, Joyce Leckemby of Fairchance, Georgette Carter of Uniontown, Russell Brink of Uniontown, and Nancy Bucci of Fairchance; additional family members, Kimberly Stevens, Pamela Sumey, Kenneth Lewis and Anthony Kostandinu; and special friend, Jacqueline Perry.
Mary attended Faith Assembly of God. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at North Union V.F.W. and the American Legion Post No. 51, Uniontown.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday from 10 a.m., until noon, the hour of the service with Pastor Donald Immel officiating. Interment will follow in Church Hill Cemetery.
