Mildred Albani
Mildred “Gram” (Renocks) Albani, 83, of Masontown, Pa., died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, at Beverly Health Care Center, Uniontown, Pa. She was born on Oct. 26, 1921, in Mount Sterling, Pa., a daughter of the late Mike Renocks and Mildred (Coffman) Renocks Markiewich.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis R. Albani; a son, Joseph M. Albani; a grandson, Christopher Michael Albani; a sister, Dorothy Thomas; and a brother, Theodore “Ted” Renocks.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Dick Albani and his wife, Pat of Albuquerque, N.M., Ann Bruzda and husband, Bob of Cookeville, Tenn., Patty Rhodes of Masontown, Pa., and Tina Lowller and husband, John of Masontown, Pa.; a daughter-in-law, Fran M. Albani of Pittsburgh, Pa.; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rosetta Kaprive of Texas, and Dolores Thomas of Lutz, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Albani of Roseville, Mich., and Marie “Marcie” Renocks of Masontown, Pa.; a brother-in-law, Eugene Albani and his wife, Julie of Warren, Ohio; and many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
A well-known caterer in the area for over 40 years, Mildred was the former owner and operator of “Grams Coffee Shop” and also the “Silver Bar” Tavern until 1997. She had a passion for cooking and had prepared dinners for the Smithfield Rotary Club and The Fairchance Exchange Club for many years. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and many friends.
Mildred was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church and the Rosary Society, a Charter Member of Pal’s Social Ladies Auxiliary, Fort Mason American Legion Post No. 423 Auxiliary, Point Marion Lions Club, and a former member of 40/8 Voiture 18.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., A Dignity Memorial Provider, 515 North Main St., Masontown, Pa., today from 3 to 9 p.m., and Friday until 10 a.m., when a Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Fr. James F. Bump officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Leckrone, Pa.
