Herbert L. Ridenour
Herbert L. Ridenour, 76, of Scottdale RD 1, passed away at 2:07 a.m., Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 2004, in Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant. He was the owner and operator of the former Westmoreland Manufacturing Company in Scottdale for close to 30 years. He was a graduate of East Huntingdon High School, Class of 1945.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 54 years, Virginia M. Rolla Ridenour; two daughters, Virginia L. “Ginny” Black and husband David of Scottdale RD 1 and Linda A. Young and husband Michael of Katy, Texas; three grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Ridenour and wife Ruby of Amarillo, Texas and Ronald Ridenour and wife Ruthann of Bradford, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Robert B. Ferguson Funeral Home, 105 Spring Street, Scottdale. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church, 600 Mulberry Street, Scottdale, Pa., 15683, in memory of Herbert L. Ridenour.
