Vehicle hit
State police said an unknown motorist hit another vehicle that was parked along West First Street and fled the scene between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 1:30 a.m. Thursday.

According to state police, nothing was stolen when someone entered a mobile home belonging to Eugene Dulkis, 28, of Mount Pleasant and fled the scene between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Stop sign hit
City police said a newer white four-door vehicle struck a stop sign at the corner of Felty and Markle streets Friday at 5 a.m. and fled the scene.

City police said someone threw a rock through a window at Larry Franty’s Union Street home. The damage was reported Thursday at 10:14 p.m.

Burglaries investigated
City police said several items were stolen Monday from the Pennysworth Discount Store on North Pittsburgh Street.
Also, police said someone broke into People’s Equity Mortgage on West Crawford Avenue on Tuesday and stole several items.

Man arrested
City police arrested Brian Grooms, 24, of Cardale on Wednesday for simple assault and harassment after he allegedly assaulted a West Gibson Avenue woman during a domestic quarrel. Police said Grooms was arraigned before duty District Justice Dwight Shaner of Dunbar Township and was placed in the Fayette County Prison in lieu of $5,000 cash bond.

Patriotic ribbons stolen
Police are looking for the person who took several patriotic magnetic ribbons from a Decatur Avenue resident’s vehicle on Wednesday.

City police said a dealer registration plate, bearing the number J23044J, was stolen from Tri Star Motors on North Pittsburgh Street within the past several weeks.

Juvenile cited
Police cited a 15-year-old Normalville boy Tuesday for retail theft after he was caught at the Connellsville Shop n’ Save attempting to conceal a food item and leave the store without paying for it.
The accused youth was released to a relative and he will appear before Connellsville District Justice Ronald Haggerty.

Sarah A. Kammer, 55, of Greenville, S.C., told state police that someone broke the window of her vehicle and stole her purse sometime while the vehicle was parked outside the New Salem Volunteer Fire Department fire hall on Wednesday.

Meat stolen
State police at Waynesburg said that an unknown woman took two family packs of meat from Giant Eagle in Dry Tavern on Sunday and left the store without paying for them.

Accident reported
State police at Waynesburg said vehicles driven by Kathryn Granos of Waynesburg and Bruno Celaschi of Jefferson collided at an intersection on Washington Street. One minor injury was reported, according to police.

Man missing
State police said William Oleksik Jr., 22, has been missing since Friday morning.
Police said he was last seen at 362 Walnut Hill Road wearing blue jeans and a camouflage jacket. Anyone with information on Oleksik’s whereabouts is asked to contact state police at the Uniontown station at 724-439-7111.

Man charged
State police said David Brian Balsley, 33, of Confluence was charged with harassment Thursday.
Police alleged Balsley pushed and punched Tara S. Troy, 41, also of Confluence, during an argument.

Janet Silbaugh of 63 Short St. told state police that an unknown person damaged her chain-link fence on Monday or Tuesday.
