Daisy V. Leonard
Daisy V. Gibbons Leonard, 83, formerly of Ruffsdale R.D. 1, Pa., died early Thursday morning, Nov. 25, 2004, at Well Spring, Huntingdon Ridge, North Huntingdon, Pa. Daisy served as a Certified Nursing Assistant at St. Anne’s in Greensburg and Westmoreland Manor, Hempfield Township. She also provided private-duty care during her nursing career.
She is survived by her extensive family which includes her children, Donna Jean Leonard of Ruffsdale, Patty Lee (Wayne) Reynolds of Ruffsdale, Linda Louise Soforic of LaBelle, Pa., Donald William (Barbara) Leonard Jr., of Sebring, Fla., Peggy LaRue (Joseph) Hager of Greenfield, Ind., David Wayne (Carol) Leonard of Ruffsdale, Edith Elaine (Patrick) Mahoney of Connellsville, Mary Ruth (Robert) Snyder of Mount Pleasant, Deborah Dawn (Emil) Magga of Greenfield, Ind., and Charles Douglas Leonard of Scottdale; 27 grandchildren; and 51 great-grandchildren.
Private Visitation for the immediate family, per Daisy’s long-standing directive, was held Friday evening in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home Inc., 417 West Pittsburgh St., Scottdale.
A Memorial Service is being planned at a later date.
