Rita Z. Springer, 80, of Jeannette, Pa., died Saturday Nov. 27, 2004, in McMurry Hills Manor Nursing Home. She was born Feb. 21, 1924, in Uniontown, Pa., a daughter of the late Leo and Margaret McGeever Zellhofer.

Prior to retirement, she was employed by Bell Telephone. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and its Rosary Altar Society and St. Vincent DePaul Society.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Springer and two sisters, Kathleen Slagle and Angela Seighman.

Surviving are a son, Joseph R. “Jake” Springer of Jeanette; a daughter, Mary Lou Grachen and her husband, Matthew of Venetia, Pa.; two granddaughters, Angela and Carolyn Grachen; and numerous nieces and nephews..
