Bernard E. Rankin, 72, of Smithfield, Pa., died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, in Beverly Health Care, Uniontown, Pa. The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church St., Fairchance, Pa., today until 10 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. David Crable officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
