Ethel Andreoni
Ethel DeFigio Andreoni, 87, of Gahanna, Ohio, and formerly of Merrittstown, Pa., passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2004, in Kobacker House, Columbus, Ohio. She was born January 1, 1917, in Republic, Pa., a daughter of Nicholas DeFigio, and Dominica “Mae” DeLeggi DeFigio.
Ethel was a member of the Church of the Madonna, Cardale, Pa., the Confraternity of Christian Mothers, the Brownsville Garden Club, and the Merrittstown Villagers, and she was a retired Director of the Veteran’s Affairs Office at Fayette County Courthouse, Uniontown, Pa.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Maureen Hindmarsh; a sister, Julia Franks; brothers, Alfred, Daniel and Mike DeFigio; half-sisters, Mary Roman and Jenny DeCarlo; a half-brother, Tony DeFigio; and her parents.
Surviving are two daughters, Maria Misch of Lyndhurst, Ohio, and Sylvia Walinski, and husband Kevin, of Gahanna, Ohio; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Funeral Mass Saturday, October 9, 2004, at 11 a.m., at the Church of the Madonna, Cardale, Pa., with the Rev. Fr. Ronald J. Rutkowski as Celebrant, with reception to follow at the Church Social Hall.
