Dolores A. Vicites
Dolores A. Polando Vicites, age 72, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Friday, October 8, 2004, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.
Born July 24, 1932, in Uniontown, she was the daughter of the late James V. Polando Sr. and Gertrude Zelmore Polando.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph L. Vicites, and her aunt, Mary Oswald.
Dolores was a member of Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, the Altar Society and the Church Choir.
She was Miss Uniontown of 1950, a former member of the June Taylor Dance Company in New York City, a 1950 graduate of the former North Union High School, and a member of V.F.W. Post No. 47 Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her loving children, Vincent A. Vicites and wife, Kimberly D., of Uniontown and Deborah Yackel and husband, Raymond, of Mount Morris, Pa.; her loving grandsons whom she adored, Joseph A. Vicites, Nicholas V. Vicites and Christopher Cole Dorsey; her brother, James Polando Jr. and wife, Anissa, of Swansea, Massachusetts; a niece, Nina Polando; nephews, Jimmy Polando and Todd Polando; a sister-in-law, Mary Frances Vicites Morgan of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and several friends and neighbors.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN E. KEZMARSKY III FUNERAL HOME AT 71 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, UNIONTOWN, Pa., this morning, October 12, until 9 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 9:30 a.m. in Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, Mill Street.
Entombment will follow in Chapel of Memories Mausoleum, Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
Visitation was also held Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Saint Therese Altar Society recited the Rosary on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m.
