Arden H. Zebley
Arden H. Zebley, 86, of Fairchance, Pa., went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2004. He was born Feb. 17, 1918, in Uniontown, Pa., son of the late Benjamin Harrison Zebley and Anna Mae Roderick Zebley.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Ruth Anne Zebley Putz; and his brother, Harold Eugene Zebley.
Arden served with honor in World War II in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre, Sixth Army as a Tech 3. He was employed with Parks Moving and Storage for 38 years. After his retirement, he worked for Florida Air Academy for 11 years.
He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Fairchance, and participated in visitations to shut-ins and several other projects of the church. He was a member of Teamsters Local No. 491, Smithfield American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Armalene D. Emme Zebley; five children, Marlyce D. Zebley Toth and husband, James E., Sharon L. Zebley McClain and husband, James W., Randall A. Zebley and wife, Grace, Kimberly D. Zebley Orawiec and husband, Lawrence J., and Elmer E. Zebley; seven grandchildren, Stephen T. Squires and wife, Barbara, W. Eric Squires and wife, Tina, Melissa L. Squires Estep and husband, James L., Carrie A. Zebley McGuire and husband, Michael, Randi L. Zebley and husband, Chris, Shannon N. Orawiec and Alicia J. Orawiec; nine great-grandchildren, Adam Estep, Jason Squires, Michael Squires, Jessica Squires, Andrew Squires, Catherine Estep, Jacob Estep, Leeann McGuire and Logan McGuire. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Warren Emme; and many loving nieces.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C.WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church St., Fairchance, Pa., on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Additional visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church of Fairchance, on Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, from 10 to 11 a.m. Services will begin at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Edward Pollock and the Rev. Robert Ford officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, Pa.
