Ronald J. Nicklow, Sr.
Ronald “Ronnie” J. Nicklow, Sr., 48, of Uniontown, Pa., went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, October 12, 2004, from Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born December 30, 1955, in Uniontown, Pa., the son of Philip G. Nicklow, Sr., and Arnadale Durst Nicklow.
Ronnie had formerly been employed with L.R. Lloyd Roofing for many years until he became disabled.
He was loved by many and will be missed by more. Ronnie was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved to play cards with his family and friends. He was only a phone call away when anyone needed help, and “no” was not in his vocabulary. He was a wonderful, loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
Ronnie was a member of the Valley Sportsman’s Club of Oliver No. 3, and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 20 in Uniontown.
He left behind so many, whose lives will be empty without him. He is survived by a son, Ronald J. Nicklow and wife Nakia of Masontown; two daughters, Amanda Sullivan and husband Russell of Buffington, Pa. and MaryBeth Nicklow and fianc? Tim Friend of Uniontown; brothers and sisters, Philip (Mickey) Nicklow and wife Gracie, Linda Knox and husband Vernon, with whom he made his home, Lona Mason, David Nicklow and wife Joyce, all of Uniontown, Patricia Hull and husband Jim (who was Ronnie’s best friend, not just a brother-in-law) of Farmington, Pa., Tim Nicklow and wife Laura, of Cocoa Beach, Fla., April Knox and husband Mark of Uniontown and Genvieve (Lynn) Reed and husband Pete of Uniontown; grandchildren, Ronald J. Nicklow, III (R.J.), Hannah Nicklow, Felicity, Abagail and Christopher Sullivan and Shyann Friend; his two special nephews and shadow buddies, Derek and Josh Miskanin; and many more aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who love and miss him dearly.
Friends will be received in the DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday, October 15, 2004, from 9 to 10 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Galen Winobrenner officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
