HAYDENTOWN VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT will hold a creamed chicken and biscuit dinner, all-you-can-eat, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Meals are $6 for adults; $3 for children under age 12. Take-out orders are available by calling 724-564-1999. Uniontown business and professional women’s club will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Caileigh’s Restaurant, 105 E. Fayette St., Uniontown. Guest speaker will be Norma Ryan, Brownsville mayor. Anyone interested in making a reservation may do so by calling Carol Swaney at 724-438-4959 by 9 p.m. Sunday.
TRI-COUNTY BOROUGH ASSOCIATION will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Center in the Woods, Route 88, California. Meal will be served at 7 p.m. Business meeting will follow. California and Coal Center boroughs are hosting the meeting. Any member wishing to tour The Oaks at Center in the Woods is asked to be at the center at 6:30 p.m.
MENALLEN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL students and parents are taking orders for Market Day holiday pies this month. Several varieties are available. The sale is open to the public. Pies are frozen. Pick up date will be in November. To place an order, call 724-437-5680.
MOPS GROUP will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Roscoe Presbyterian Church fellowship hall. The group is a Christian based international organization for mothers and pre-school children.
