9-1-1 warning issued

1 min read

Fayette County Emergency Management Agency is asking county residents to not call 9-1-1 for non-emergencies. At this time of year, the 911 center receives many calls from people inquiring about Halloween parade times, neighborhood trick-or-treat schedules and yard debris burning days, EMA public information officer Susan Griffith said.

She said residents should call their municipalities to obtain that type of information.

Municipality phone numbers are listed in the phone book and can be obtained by calling directory assistance, but 911 operators will not provide those numbers, Griffith said.
